As you can see my title, it is about mum and child.
If you are reading this, are you a parent already? If you are,you should know being a parent is not easy. It is not an easy task to start with. If you arent a parent yet, please take note being a parent is not easy and it will never be easy.
Being a parent/ a mum, you have the responsibilty to give the best to your children. Be it from raising to teaching, its all part of the package and if you think you cant dedicate your whole life to your children then please dont have them. Why am i sayng this? hahaha you can say i have life experienced it.
There was a mother that i know, she gave birth to 3. And her responsibility? Was till they were born.
After giving birth to her first child, a girl, she went into the confinement phase with a nanny and for the month of confinement, she rested her tired body and ate to nourish her body back into health. For the whole month her child was kept with the nanny to be looked after and soon she went back to work. Her child was then left with the nanny. First few weeks of her normal life back together again she promised to bring her baby home everynight, and she did. But it was together with the nanny, then gradually it became every week and soon it became a monthly affair with no specific schedule. The nanny treated the child as her own and the child grew up in her nanny's home. And for the whole of her childhood, mummy was never there when she was crying as a baby, mummy was never there when she had her first vaccination to the last vaccination, mummy was never there to see her off to school, mummy was never there to tend to her when she wasnt feeling well and mummy was never there to sign her report card in high school. When mummy was around, it was the time for shopping and spending. Because mummy was always busy travelling, playing mahjong and having precious coffee sessions with her friends. The girl always thought it was natural for the role of mummy. Then when she was 9, mummy brought another life onto the world, a boy.
The boy was left like the girl, at nanny's home. Since the day he left home from the hospital. Nanny brought him up like the girl. Like the girl, mummy was never there for anything. And the boy grew up thinking it was natural too. Mummy was only there with money for new years clothes, gifts for birthdays, christmas and monthly shopping. Other than that mummy was never there.
3 years later, mummy brought another life ,another boy. But this time, mummy was gone in a few months time. He never had anything from mummy.
When the 3 children grew up in a family without mummy and daddy, they found their existence searching for their own happiness in their own way. And being used to seeing mummy when they needed allowance, they will only find her when needed. But please be reminded they were brought up this way.
The girl called mummy every now and then to ask if she was fine, but mummy would always say she is busy and will talk again. The boy used to try to stick to mummy but mummy's boyfriend said he is a boy and he should be more independant like mixing with other boys and have friends. Thus he went. The youngest boy calls to talk to mummy but also she claims she is perpetually busy.
Mummy doesnt work, she is being supported and she loves to shop for worth;ess accessories. Mummy loves to show off to everyone on the amount of money she spents on those worthless things. Seeing that mummy is doing well, the boys are still schooling, naturally allowances would be great if mummy can give them. But mummy finds it hard to part with money and make lots of excuses. the girl cant take mummy's nonsense anymore.
Mummy said she is sick and tired of them. Mummy thinks they love her because of money. Mummy have no means to support the boys because she needs money to settle her craving for buying worthless accessories. Mummy cries to the world that she is so broke to support her own child. Mummy is short of money to buy the new jade bangle to add into her collection, she has no extra for the boys to eat and study. Mummy blames the world for her children.
And yet mummy claims to her friends that she loves them. Not one phone call, not one meet up.
Mummy went to see the girl with her friends, and mummy left 15 mins later with them to go home, the girl then called her mobile to ask why she was going back early? Mummy said she is coming back now, the girl asked her why, mummy said because her friend told her to come back, mummy came back after the 14 dollar wasted cab fare and sat in the living room to wait for her "friend" once phone call and mummy went off again for a mahjong session.
tell me, is this the kind of mummy that should be loved?????
The children have given up. They will not be a bothering mummy's new life anymore.
